I’ve arrived! (Je suis arrivee)

Hello everyone! Jeff and I arrived in Benin yesterday evening. We are staying on the grounds of a monastery called Saint Jean Eudes in Cotonou. We have a little room with our own shower. There are mosquito nets over the bed to protect us from the mosquitos. So far all is well. I’ve gotten some more vaccinations, received my medical kit, and been tested in French.  Mostly, I am tired from all of the traveling and want to sleep. We haven’t been given a chance to explore yet. We’re driven around in a lovely air conditioned shuttle bus, so I can’t complain… although it’s not that hot… yet.  What I have seen in Cotonou so far is from the window of that bus. I’ve seen streets lined with stores and stalls selling everything from shirts to gas. Anyways, there is a long line in the computer lab so I will give someone else a turn.
